Welcome to Anike’s Ink!

Hi! I'm Anike; yeah, you probably knew that already, but like, "there is power in names," or how does that saying go again?

Anyways, welcome to my corner of the internet where I'm going to be talking your heads off on how much I loved or hated a book and why. Some tea and gossip on what's happening in the literary community, book releases, cover reveals, book-to-screen and all that good stuff. Although I tend to call myself a lazy writer, on days when I just so happen to pick up a pen and decide to write something other than a book review, I write poems including prose poetry that I never put out, which will be making their way onto this blog.

Some of my favourite genres include Fantasy, mystery, thriller, and contemporary fiction. Ehh…I read nonfiction sometimes, but between you and me, what's the fun in that? Too much reality and all that. Okay, just kidding.

I am someone who loves to express herself through memes and gifs, so expect to see quite a number of those in my reviews. I won't go into details about how, a few years ago, I found solace and comfort, and some healing in reading books because that's some gist for another day.
